According to Tufts-New England Medical Center, JAMA Jan 5, 2005, 21% of dieters dropped out in the first 2 months, 45% had quit by the end of the year. Some studies also suggest that the dieter need continuous egg on in the form of motivation to keep them on track and achieve long lasting results.

Diet Plans Exclude Exercise

Dieters keep starving themselves, but do not follow the other half of the weight loss equation, i.e. exercise. Permanent weight loss is not only about what you eat, it requires workouts as well. The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) avers diet with exercise as the greatest predictor of permanent weight loss. As per the researches conducted, 4.5 hrs of moderate intensity exercise that helps you lose at least 2000 calories per week coupled with reduced energy intake will lead to considerable results.

Diet Plans Affect Fat Cells

Starving the fat cells enhance their ability to store fat and multiply. They hold onto the fat already stored and work rather aggressively to take in more fat. Skipping meals, especially breakfast, is common in diet regimen of many dieters. However, what they don’t realize is that it is the booster for the fat cells to become fatter. The hunger pangs are one of the motivations to eat, which is often in case of filling your stomach with low-calorie food. Dieting can only help when you eat right. Don’t create your own starving diet plans and follow Carb Rotation Diet, which will help women to reduce dress size and men to have the most desired abs. Diet Plans Slows the Metabolism

Constant dieting leads to drop in metabolism. People starve their bodies to reduce 1000 calories/day. In this process, the body stores the calories instead of burning them. This causes the metabolism to slow down. Once the diet is over and the dieter starts eating regularly, the calories pile-up, but the body remains in conservation mode thereby causing weight regain.

Moreover, we are predisposed to keep our body at a certain body weight. Falling below the set point our body is biologically pressurized to restore the lost weight.

According to Yale Medical Core Curriculum, “Hypertrophic obesity results in an increase in the size of the fat cells, without a change in their number. It is usually a post-adolescent phenomenon, and holds true until total body fat exceeds 40 kg (morbid obesity - greater than 200% ideal body weight), at which point new fat cells are produced to accommodate the enlarging lipid reserves”

This is not all! There are yet other reasons that lead to weight regain, such as lifestyle, lack of will power, depression, and emotional set backs. There are people who are hit by eating disorders, but few respond to the external cues such as a friend eating your favorite sundae flavor, smell of fresh cake, or mindless munching in front of television. The only magic mantra to control weight regain is to have a well-planned diet chart along with proper guidance on exercise and eating habits. Check Carb Rotation Diet, which is a virtuoso for both and women struggling for permanent weight loss. It helps you come out of the vicious circle of weight loss and gain.

I don’t know one person in my life that eats right. My bf (who is 5′10″, 230 and gross) insists that his starve till night, then pig out on carbs at night plan does his body just fine. My mother went thru 3 cans of Pringles while she was here for 10 days, explaining that she could have so much cause it was part of her “gluten free” diet plan. As a former nanny I witnessed ALL the kids with free access to crackers and cookies whenever they wanted. People are idiots. I never buy chips and cookies unless i have guests. I don’t buy ice cream, we go to Dairy Queen once a month. You’ll never see me in the snack aisle, it’s just not food to me. I don’t order pasta and I never eat three whole meals a day, it’s just too much food. Now that I’m middle aged, I eat even less. Bread is maybe 2-3 times a week. Water is the only thing I drink besides coffee. It’s a lifestyle I’ve always lived and I weigh the same as i did when I was 20. When you look at gluttony the way you do stealing, being mean and neglecting the people you love, you’ll start to think differently. It’s simply sinful and harmful!
